We do need to cut the budget for the military, but I think a good place to start would be the "Social justice" programs that gobble tax dollars with no tangible result. IMO

The U.S. military shouldn't even be over there at all. Instead of fighting in the east they should be fighting the numerous drug cartels in Latin America and other guerrilla movements that are closer to us, and thus, a more imminent threat.
